Be Binary

What does that mean?

Binary code is made up of 0's and 1's.  That is it.  Black and White and nothing else

So binary means to be black or white and it is behavior driven by the language you use
It means DO or DON'T, not TRY
It means YES or NO, not MAYBE
It means, done by THURSDAY, not SOON
It means £105,234 not "a BIG number" or "quite small"
It means be precise and exact in your words and therefore your actions
Why is it important?

For your audience - your colleagues and clients:

It gives CERTAINTY to your clients.  If you say you will try to get something done, then that something remains on the big to do list in their head until you tell them it is done. If you tell them that you WILL get it done, then they can move on with Peace of Mind.

Same goes for your colleagues, when someone asks for something to be done, the best response you can get is "Yes I WILL get that done for you, by Thursday

For you:
It creates a definite commitment to getting something done. When you tell someone you will try, then you give yourself an escape route. But when you tell them that you WILL get something done, then you will prioritise and work harder to make it happen.

Be Binary.
